Do you know that there is a market for IPv4 addresses where prices are increasing? We really don't need a market for a scarce resource when we can use an alternative abundant resource like IPv6 addresses. Some big companies have bought large amounts of IPv4 addresses (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv4_address_exhaustion#Markets_in_IP_addresses). I don't think this market will benefit people, special in regions where the resource gets more scarce.

Brilliantly visualised @Nature essay by @dyanilewis, photography by Ulet Ifansasti, on the stunning 45,000 year-old #CavePaintings in #Sulawesi, Indonesia - now threatened by dissolution and irretrievable loss:

Humanity’s oldest art is flaking away. Can scientists save it?

Ancient humans painted scenes in Indonesian caves more than 45,000 years ago, but their art is disappearing rapidly. Researchers are trying to discover what’s causing the damage and how to stop it — before the murals are gone forever.

When I lived in Aalborg Denmark, the wind blew strong, some bees took refuge in the holes of an old piece of wood, they were so pretty that they looked like hairy bears.

Unexpectedly stumbled on this giant troll sculpture while birdwatching in West Seattle! I knew there were new troll sculptures around; didn’t know I’d be seeing one today. 😄

Do you know that GitHub does not support IPv6 yet? I noticed this when trying to clone a repository from an IPv6 only server. This is another reason open-source projects should start moving away from GitHub and not requiring us to depend on a single vendor.

Hi, I'm surprised I didn't find an existing discussion with this topic. Some services like github-releases.githubusercontent.com or user pages do support IPv6, however the webpage (github.com) itse...
