@4fd485 @Beavernotes I’ve been considering this idea for a while, but it’s challenging to avoid fragmentation while allowing both inexperienced users and people on the geekier side like me to join in. I find Reddit is a good place for that, but it has its caveats, mainly being a large platform now almost corporate. Still, it’s hard to find one that effectively addresses these issues.

Our app is ~500MB on macOS. It could be 50MB. That’s a 10x shrink, but it means rebuilding from the ground up with Tauri.

Momentan habe ich ziemlich viel um die Ohren, zwischen dem ganz normalen Alltag, einigen persönlichen Projekten und der Vorbereitung auf die Deutsche C1-Prüfung für die Uni. Daher wird sich die Entwicklung von @Beavernotes etwas verlangsamen. Das nächste Update ist aber bereits unterwegs!

Lately, I've been juggling a lot, between life getting in the way, some personal projects, and preparing for the German C1 exam I need for university. The development of @Beavernotes is still ongoing, just at a slower pace. I hope we can ship the next update as soon as possible!
