I'm so fucking tired of hearing these murderous bastards say that the people they killed 'were not targets', as if that is a coherent statement.

When you drop bombs, you've targeted. Period. You are responsible for what you destroy. Period.

Eine Bekannte erzählte heute, ihr Partner mache eine Umschulung zum Fachinformatiker. Die Umschulung (hier der schulische Teil) finde eigentlich komplett virtuell in einer Lernumgebung statt. Es sei aber eine Präsenzquote von 51% in der Institution erforderlich. Wann er präsent ist, sei frei wählbar.

Präsenz sehe so aus, dass er die Institution aufsuche, sich mit seinem Notebook dort hinsetze und in den virtuellen Lernraum einlogge, in dem alles stattfindet. Lehrkräfte seien nicht vor Ort, Mitschüler:innen auch nicht immer, da Präsenzzeiten ja frei wählbar ...

Ich würde das gern verstehen. So mit richtigen Sachargumenten.

UK Gov: "Because of bullying, and algorithms that promote hate."

People: "Have you considered holding the bullies and those who tweak the algorithms responsible?"

UK Gov: "Well, clearly you're anti-growth and anti-business and anti-Britain and anti-semitic."

In case anyone feels Luigi Mangione’s actions could never be justified:

He took one life. He took a life from a man whose career was dedicated to letting people die.

For months afterwards, insurers in the US reversed care denials, approved care, and played nice. There is no doubt in my mind that lives were saved by this change.

On balance, I’m not sure what is “right” here, but it is clear Luigi Mangioni saved some lives. Should it take an assassination to effect change in this system? No.

In his first 150 days, Mayor Mamdani has:
- closed a $12B deficit
- collected $9M in unpaid fines from Bezos
- recovered $5M in stolen wages for gig workers
- raised minimum wage to $30/hr
- drove violent crime to record lows
- marched for trans rights

I don't ever want to hear an excuse from a single Democrat ever again. Turns out the "radical leftist agenda" is just competent representation.
