Going through Leviticus now in my #Bible reading, but I've noticed something interesting.
Leviticus gets an (understandable) bad rap for being restrictive and legalistic...sometimes downright weird, like sowing 2 types of seed or using 2 types of garments.
But overall the laws have a tone of surprising mercy, asking people to reign in their desire for vengeance and break down walls of distrust of foreigners.
The laws seem freakishly merciful...not just for Israel, but for the #US.
God uses all types of people.
He uses rich and poor
