Fan of the Palladium VCG, C64, Sharp PA, C256 Foenix - and, yes way more.
Conductor of the @retrogaming_bot, @demoscene_bot, @playdate_bot and the @pico8_bot.
Some update on the AI model: it's now at 89% accuracy but still puts out too many false-positives (yes, I'm looking at you Taylor Swift posts!). The load on the server is way heavier than thought (3x) - looks like I need a second AI server ... hello @admin ;-)

What's next?
After about 4-6 weeks the bots switch to normal operating mode, thus rating toots solely based on content (and not only hashtags).

How to help?
Just boost/share the pinned "follow me" -post of each bot.

What bots are there?
@retrogaming_bot - everything retro gaming and retro computing related
@demoscene_bot - demo scene related posts
@pico8_bot - all about the fantasy console PICO-8 and its cousin TIC-80
@playdate_bot - toots about the crank game console by Panic

How is it done?
The first phase is now done, with trips to about 600k hosts. About 64k of those hosts have a public timeline and on 6.4k hosts there are users who post something regularly.
The bot fetches the last posts from the public time line, runs them again a training node and puts them into a toot queue. Every two hours the post with the best score is then boosted.
The score is currently much higher for new hosts and new users - just to build new interconnections.
Why this bots?
While Mastodon does a great job of connecting hosts with trending hashtags (you can even follow hashtags) these results are very depending on the active users of your instance, and the main topic of the server (joining one of the generic big hosts isn't a great idea therefore).
Posts from hosts not in your bubble won't reach you. That's the purpose of the bots: creating connections to hosts with posts on the same topic.
