Why’s it so hard to get a job in 2026, reason number 10364:
One job posting, 200 applications
Looking through the applications:
- at least person applied multiple times
- 90% are outside geographic area even though it’s a regional position and states hybrid work in the posting.
- 5% are from international people
I didn’t have time to sort through to see how many of the applications are bots/scams.

Today was the 40h of work in 4h it feels like. I’m exhausted!
People with #adhd have three types of workday:
* Get absolutely nothing done
* Get 4 hours of work done at a random point in time
* Get 40 hours of work done in 4 hours
All types are sprinkled with work unrelated sidequests
Substack promoted Andrew Tate as their #1 "bestseller" last week. Cool company. Great leadership.
So I went ahead and made a browser extension.
Kill Yr Substack intercepts every Substack link (even on custom domains) and redirects it to `archive.is`.
Substack's numbers go down. You still get to read the thing tho.

Update: If you have problems with `archive.is`, Ghost Archive is now available as an alternative redirect as of version 1.2.1.
