@some_natalie Incredibly helpful context and information - thank you!

Genuinely appreciate you taking the time to form such a lucid reply for me ✨

@some_natalie A few additional caveats I'd love to add on that I think would tighten the loop:

- Same base image, only difference allowed to be passed is the `cmd` command to run their submission and a path to their GH repo to submit.

- No persistent storage. Start, run, then close only.

@some_natalie came across your article: https://some-natalie.dev/blog/stop-saying-just-use-firecracker/

Great stuff! Question for you: What if code review is not possible?

IE: I want to create an environment for people to submit code submissions.

Assuming I lock submissions to one-per invite-only user, and lock down time-of-execution to be fairy limited would Firecracker still be an acceptable tool?

I didn't see much guidance (anywhere) for this kind of usage, so wanted to run it by someone with much more experience than myself.

Please stop saying ‘Just use Firecracker’ - do this instead

Using things for what they’re meant for empowers teams at scale - and also, how to avoid death by a thousand cuts along the path of shoving VMs into systems designed for containers.

Some Natalie’s corner of the internet

This was incredibly hard to write. I hope you'll take the time to read it.

@frontenddogma @playfulprogramming thanks a bunch for sharing!

It's true — after many years as operating without a formal organization backing our efforts: Playful Programming is now a California Non-Profit.

This will further propel our efforts to create engaging learning resources and bring others into software development!

I am beyond elated to announce that I am officially a Microsoft MVP! 😭💖

I am so honored to receive this award - I stand amongst giants in the field and for that I am humbled. 🙏

Thank you to everyone who's helped me along this journey ✨🚀

I made my first PR to Vite! 😄

https://github.com/vitejs/vite/pull/18592

fix: Vite build now works with broken symlink in public by crutchcorn · Pull Request #18592 · vitejs/vite

Description This PR solves the problem of breaking vite build when having a broken symlink inside of the public folder. This occurs because stat treats symlinks as isDirectory() === true and break...
