I just had a dystopian vision of people begging for precious tokens for their AI fix as they are now goverment rationed and ununequally distributed, in full on beggars attire...

Ha! I was reading about `corner-shape` and was looking for simple information. This does more and optionally notifies you. Great stuff! 👍🏽

The AI "loss of craft" debate keeps coming back. Just read [a great piece][1] by Andrew Murphy on the five stages of it — and I skipped straight to stage 5.

As I told a client recently:

> I'm not worried about AI stealing my job. The value of craft will only go up. Sculptors still command huge fees for unique work, even when you can 3D print anything.

The five stages of losing our craft | Debugging Leadership

Last Tuesday I was on a coaching call with an engineering manager. Let's call her Sarah (because that's her name). She was describing a situation I've now heard about forty times in the last twelve months. Her most senior developer, a guy with twelve years of experience and very strong opinions about YAML indentation (2 spaces, obviously, he's not a monster), had just refused to use Cursor. Not "tried it and didn't like it." Refused. On principle.

Code is easier to follow than configuration: comparing a sample blog in #WebOrigami and #11ty https://jan.miksovsky.com/posts/2026/03-17-code-is-easier-to-follow-than-configuration

First post in a series comparing creating the same #blog in two different #ssg systems. The first diagram shows a large number of implicit connections between source files in the #Eleventy blog, the second shows that all connections in the Origami blog are explicit.
