I've finally managed to get a version of Retro's VM working under OpenBSD using system calls instead of linking with libc.
This has eluded me for a long time; I'm pleased to finally be able to proceed on this front as I'd prefer to avoid using libc when possible.
Next step is to figure out how to rewrite the NASM assembly in AT&T syntax so I can just use the standard toolchain on OpenBSD & FreeBSD...
Taking @vazub suggestion, this morning is dedicated to oolong.
At 8:30, I'm 14 oz in, with a second pot ready to go. I'm drinking a roasted oolong (# ZO20, from Upton Tea) My stock on this is a little past its prime, but it's still enjoyable.
(I'm overdue to order in a fresh batch of tea; I'm nearing the end of most of my varieties, other than some of the shóu.)
Today is a green tea day.
I started with genmaicha. I always enjoy this, though I initially had the water too hot, burning the tea slightly. Subsequent steeps were better.
Total: 25 oz.
Since lunch time I've been steeping sencha. It's good, but I find it to be more troublesome with steep times if I want to avoid bitterness.
Total: 20 oz.
I was planning to also have hōjicha, but discovered that my tin was empty. I'll check my reserves at home as I thought I still had plenty of this.
Today is a day for darker teas.
I started the morning off with a nice ceylon. Brewed 28 oz of tea total. It was pretty weak near the end, so I'll probably not do the last steep next time.
Now onto a shóu to start the afternoon...
Today's #tea is a Chinese green from Upton Tea. I'm enjoying it; it has a pleasant astringency and a light vegetal taste.
It's been too long since I was drinking tea daily. Time to get back to that I think. I still find it relaxing to prepare and drink.

freenode just k-lined all of IRCCloud. Again, intentionally and permanently.
Despite all of the stupid things they've done lately, I stayed connected to there and Libera/OFTC in hopes they'd come to their senses and stop imploding. Guess that comes to an end.
