If you are in the Twin Cities, southern Minnesota, or western Wisconsin, consider following my weather alert accounts listed above.

Storm #1 has shifted to more of an icing risk. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the south and east metro and a Winter Weather Advisory for the rest of us. Storm #2 risk of heavy snow has retreated mostly north of the metro for the weekend.

The risk of heavy snow has decreased with storm #1 for the Twin Cities, but we are now solidly in a low risk of heavy snow for storm #2 on the weekend.

A couple chances for heavy snow this week, mainly northern Minnesota. The risk does extend into the Twin Cities area for the 2nd round, but it's a low risk at this time, probably for potential nighttime accumulations.

@HopelessDemigod You're welcome. Great to hear feedback like this!
Most roads have opened back up as of 10:10am. But travel is still not advised in some parts (purple roads).

Strong tornadoes are in the outlook today over the very populated eastern seaboard.
