We've just finished teaching Austere Emergency Care (AEC), developed by Specialized Medical Standards, in and around our Maltese base.
AEC is a mix of online material, classroom lectures, skills stations and scenario based missions, all focused on developing a medic's prolonged field care skills and knowledge.
Every student's growth, in terms of skills and confidence, was evident as the course progressed. Teamwork in the day long final training scenario was excellent.

The College is running an ACLS course at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center (KCMC). Aebhric O'Kelly is monitoring the course and is concurrently running an ACLS instructor course. It is important when setting up a training system to also set up the ability for self sustainment.
