Today on the menu. The RailExperts (RXP) 9902 in new blue “Tommie en Tess” livery. Tommie and Tess are figures in a new children’s book about railways.
Good morning and happy new year! The Dutch Railways 7511 made my first train journey of the year.
Happy new timetable 2024! Well it looks like the new Liège - Aachen local train service actually started. With a HLE 18 locomotive and four I-11 coaches (last one with driver cab).
And the rumors were also true. The Klassiekjes are still not gone, doing service today in the intercity between Schaarbeek and Binche.

Last weekend I enjoyed some historical Belgium diesel locomotives in the heritage line Dendermonde - Puurs 🥰. This photography focused rail event was set up by Fotostop.
Here we see the fantastic looking HLD 5922 (privately owned) with a few Uay type cars carrying gravel near Sint-Amands. The Uay’s were actually provided by Infrabel 👍. The orange VW-bus was also part of the scenery.
