@tenderlove I love this post! I like that you didn't feed the flames of Ruby vs. Python wars and just dove straight into discussing solutions.
@kdkorte @univention
Love to see it but I've been seeing these kinds of articles every few months ago for decades, they always say they're going to switch and then quietly reverse the decision when time comes for the next tech upgrade
@SolonVesperAI Good thing these guys have solved all of ethical philosophy—so many trees saved!
@pox The linux-surface kernel helps, but doesn't solve everything. See their github where they give specifics on support for each surface model. Mine has no webcam support. Touchscreen supposedly works, but not well.
@pox linux support is pretty bad on these in my experience
@robb The terrible irony is that your link to the post on chrisenns.com 404s because he renamed it and broke the URL 😉
@StefanoL You can install cinnamon alongside KDE without reinstalling the OS entirely
@QueerMatters Which tech would you prefer to use instead of AI
@irfan Since everyone else is dogpiling, I will say that I was interested in trying Matrix but on every occasion have run up against the fact that 1. I couldn't find a single active Matrix server 2. I have no interest in paying to host it myself only to have nobody to talk to

@getkirby The idea is not correct. If your license were open source, it would be on the OSI list of approved open source licenses. Muddying the waters by disclaiming "free and open source" doesn't help your case: Kirby is neither free *nor* open source.

The term you are looking for is "source available."
