The bike lanes on Bloor St. W. look really good, making the street look nice and inviting to walk around, one wants to visit all the little shops. That's not the case with Eglinton Ave. W., the street feels like a highway.
They're the same in terms on width, and types of storefronts. Eglinton now has a subway under it, like Bloor street.
Eglinton would be so much better with a bike lane.
A pedestrian was killed today along Eglinton Ave. W.
This is the part of Eglinton that does not have a protected bike lane.
The street is way too fast, and is being used as an entrance to the highway.
Build the the bike lanes, slow the traffic down. Make this portion of Eglinton a nice street again.
There is now a subway underneath the street, that cost billions to build, but the surface traffic is still given up to speeding cars.
The city wanted to build a bike lane, but has back tracked on that.
Other portions of Eglinton have a bike lane, and the stores are doing better, and the street feels more livelier in those areas.
