@mattmay Not trying to diminish your main point — I agree that the US healthcare system is a complete mess — but has your friend tried Mark Cuban’s costplusdrugs site? They have a limited selection, and they don’t carry my wife’s most-expensive medication, but for some of the more commonly used Rx their prices are good.

@BodyofBreen That better not be Nepenthe. Last time we went there was after a SF Macworld Expo and it was chilly and rainy (but the outdoor heaters helped with the former)

@GottaLaff Not sure which Canadian bank you’re with, but some of them, including RBC and CIBC, have “foreign” (U.S.) branches or subsidiaries or subunits that might provide a workable solution for you.

@Cdespinosa The keynotes would be soooo much better with less slickness and more rumpled humanity in them. As it is, I have to struggle to stay awake and engaged, regardless of how great the new features are.
