I'm venturing out into the world of op-eds and high school math wars! We argue algebra *needs* data science... but data science also needs algebra!

Don’t force a false choice between algebra and data science

Students who don't take Algebra 2 because they're more interested in data science could be shutting themselves off careers in science, technology engineering and math. But data science and Algebra 2 complement each other and should be taught in concert.

I needed a citation for the idea that "data = model + error" is an important idea in #statistics so I asked #ChatGPT and it told me that it's a fundamental idea! HA! Is there a way to cite #ChatGPT as a source?

(This feels like WAY back when people weren't sure we could cite #Wikipedia as a reputable source.)
