Between philosophical grammar and theological longing, this essay traces what becomes of hope when the inner theater falls silent. Two convergent thinkers on hope and living with illness. Ratzinger and Ryle at the same table.

PhilPeople seems to operate through a delayed dialectic of presence.
Profile without work, work without author, and finally their reconciliation.
The process is not chronological, but eventually converges.
One might call this… eventual consistency.
The Über of Heidegger’s Being and Time
Überantwortet in §29 — where Dasein is delivered-over to its Stimmung, handed over to its own attunement before any reflective stance is possible. You can’t get behind your mood to inspect it; you’re already in it because you’ve been überantwortet to it.
In health, I do not need to think about future. I am always already moving toward something. Even when I am idle, the future is there as a background horizon — available, open, structuring what I do.
Heidegger describes this as projection: I am always ahead of myself, oriented toward possibilities.
In illness, this orientation fails.

The Wächter of the Kitchen Floor
A note on equipment, readiness-to-hand, and one very attentive Bichon Frisé
There is a concept in Heidegger's *Being and Time* called *Zuhandenheit* — readiness-to-hand. It describes the mode of being of equipment when it is functioning properly: the hammer that hammers, the knife that cuts. When things work, they recede into the background of a smoothly functioning world, transparent, simply *there*.
Prince operates in my kitchen in precisely this mode.
😐 Projected PhilPeople Timeline
2026 → Limited Availability
2027 → We are still working hard
2029 → admin briefly logs in
2032 → my profile becomes visible for 9 mins
2033 → hidden again (for consistency)
2040 → system achieves full enlightenment, removes all profiles
Meanwhile, in actual reality
my paper: exists
people: reading it
me: posting Heidegger in two languages on Mastodon
Final philosophical update
PhilPeople belongs to historical time
My work already belongs to circulating time😐
I’ve started reading Being and Time in Croatian and English simultaneously, just to check how key terms are rendered.
It’s a strange experience — the same text, but not quite the same concepts.
