FINALLY. The first day of Llamasoft Spring is defined as the first day it's warm and dry enough to sit outside in the field with the boys. And it's been a while coming this year.
A big heart-felt THANK YOU❤️ to all our lovely Readers who have continued to subscribe to #FREEZE64 and committed to another year of new & exclusive content for the #Commodore64 #C64 #Commodore64Ultimate

Trips down memory lane have of course been enjoyable but so is trying out some of the newer stuff that's around, I have plenty to explore there. Can't do better than starting with Sarah Jane Avory's excellent Zeta Wing shooters IMO - they are beautifully made and balanced more in line with modern sensibilities, challenging and fun without being bastard hard in the way a lot of old games were.

Yep, dead happy with the C64U. 🐂👍

BIT Live is Back in 2026 - With a Surprise Date!

The FastLoaders have announced that Back In Time Live will be held again in 2026 in Bergen, Norway, and this time with a - <checks his notes again> - summer date!?! Yes, that's right, folks, for the first time ever, BIT Live will be held as a two-day event smack in the middle of SUMMER on July 31- August 1! Rumors were abound last year that Norway does actually have a summer season, so this might be a good opportunity to fact-check that in person. The event will be at a new venue, too, at the Ole Bull Scene, still in Bergen's city centre, not far from where all the other Norwegian BIT Live events were held in recent years. Tickets are already available for the event at the link below.

Well that is something I never thought would happen… Featured as a developer on the recently resurrected #commodore website! 🥳😎

I have made the decision to move our games from Itch.io over to Patreon as @itchio have had our payouts "in review" since last August with no response to the issues raised. I am not thrilled with Patreon either but at least they are not developer hostile. Our games are now at https://www.patreon.com/cw/DESIGNchaos #gamedev

I’ve been adding some polish to the game selector on my Axtevision games compilation disk.
Not looking too bad now, almost time to start making some music!
I truly wish people would stop talking about the various labelled "generations". We're not all chunks of people sectioned off into these integer-boundary slices that all have particular values/beliefs/whatever, we're individually born at a point in time in which things are changing fluidly and continuously. The imposed quantisation isn't particularly useful, and it annoys me.
