I'm by far not active enough to call myself a climate "activist", but I do dump all #climate #news that I see in a Discord server. From the last week, excluding the news about Wopke Hoekstra (Shell, KLM, Qatar) whom I wouldn't trust yet;

Two weeks ago I found a bird ( white pigeon) in the sidewalk, he was almost dead ( or dead but still warm). Took him to the vet but nothing to be done. This week I saw a dead pigeon on the way to work (Northernden road), yesterday a dead pigeon in Salford Uni car park, last night another one just around the corner in Marsland road. This morning, a bluetit came in my bedroom through the window and started panicking and flapping around... Might be coincidences but it does worry me... Any ideas?

Such large protests are rare in #Switzerland and show growing public frustration with the pace of policy-making to combat #GlobalWarming despite ample evidence of its impact."

Thought for the day:
"An advanced city is not one where even the poor use cars, but rather one where even the rich use public transport" - Colombian politician, Enrique Peñalosa

Not everyone lives in the same climate, even people that live in the same city. Some people live much hotter lives, and it's mainly connected to how poor they are.

So spare a moment for those living the "hot life"

I write about this on The Climate Brink

Spare a thought for those living “the hot life”

When discussing climate change, the conversation often turns to metrics like global averages or regional temperatures. However, these broad measurements overlook the reality that, even within the same city, different individuals experience drastically different climates.
