If you want to praise a politician in history who “did some good things,” there are lots to choose from besides Hitler. You only choose Hitler if you are someone trying to rehabilitate his image. And you only try to rehabilitate his image if you see yourself in him.

Another deliberate choice of drawing attention to or away from a perpetrator to fit the Western narrative:

Dutch headlines mention Hezbollah by name in their heinous attack, but obscure the Israeli forces when they are the careless perpetrator.

Sure, the linked articles are accurate, but why can't the headlines attribute on equal footing?
