I had a little collection of #lockdownletters from the Days of the Plague, and they remind me of just what a very peculiar time that was.

It seems almost impossible to remember it as real. But the returning posts from the various memory banks serve to remind me that I was, apparently, right on the verge of losing it.

Unfortunately, it seems that Mastodon (or perhaps just my instance?) isn’t retaining all of these particular hashtag posts, unlike Fessbök which unfortunately Remembers All.

Thought I saw a sail on the horizon, but it may have been a mirage. Or a pelican. Or a mirage of a pelican.
Aced the crossword.
Had my third cup of coffee by eleven o’clock. Peaked early.
On the bright side: found some Maryland Cookies in the cupboard, but this celebration was quickly dimmed by the realisation that I (apparently) drank today’s bottle of cider yesterday.
Today I will learn to play the harmonium.

Glass of wine. Cat. Same desk. It was bound to happen.

Day #738 of lockdown:
~ coffee OK, maybe a little bitter; could do better. pot probably needs a clean, but 'the help' isn't allowed to visit.
~ crossword, half-done; lacklustre performance, may not bother trying to finish it later.
~ ate the last of the goldfish. are the pet-shops open?

Made a very acceptable pot of #coffee and then knocked the little #bialetti over. *“Oh dear”*, I said (or something similar), *“there goes the second cup”*.

What now? Oh, Ethiopian Sidamo beans. Light roast. Freshly ground. Worth a try, I’d say.
