These are bad enough, but one time while working on some farm machinery I had my hands full and could not let go without serious injury to my uncle. A horsefly landed on my back, I only wished I had the ability to shake my skin like the horses. It bit before I could do anything. It was nothing short of the feeling of a redhot poker.
Eisenhower was POTUS when I was born. A general and Republican who had defeated the Nazis. How uncomfortable it is to live in a Village where ~66% of the people have fallen prey to a #Christofascist cult and my main Street is adorned with a sand sculpture of Trump's raised fist.
Since I could first vote in 1972, the #DemocraticParty has marched steadily to the right. They abandoned #Unions and the #WorkingClass in general. Their capitulation to the right allowed the rise of the fully #Fascist #GOP and ultimately Trump and a #Christofascist #SCOTUS.
