Fun fact: the embryonic form of Elliott Smith's “Junk Bond Trader” is the song “Fast Food” from his early band Stranger Than Fiction’s second cassette “Waiting for the Second Hand”.
Wow multiplexed super-res imaging. 9 different proteins mapped in one cell! This looks cool from Bewersdorf lab.
The imaging of ER-mitochondria contacts in this new paper from the Kukulski lab is amazing. Looking forward to seeing her present this work at the JCS Cell Dynamics meeting on Sunday.
Integrative structural biology combining quantitative live imaging, cryo-correlative microscopy, subtomogram averaging and molecular modelling enables in situ determination of the structure of the endoplasmic reticulum–mitochondria encounter complex in yeast.
I wrote this little program to visualise biological tracking data from #microscopy. We used it a lot for sense checking and verifying a lot of our data, but sadly it won't make it into our next paper. Anyway, today I tidied it up a bit and will make it available with all the rest of the code for others to use.
