@MJmusicinears personally, I don‘t think solar radiation management (in its various forms) will ever be tried in earnest. But how the very idea of dimming the sun fares in the court of public opinion may be a good indicator for the level of hope or desperation we have concerning out ability to get the climate crisis under control.

Black line is the model average; as it is an average it is smoother than the actual data, which include more of the random variability which is superimposed on the warming forced by greenhouse gas emissions.
