I'm back making updates to my #homelab. I found a great article that introduced me to a #slskd plugin for #Lidarr and most importantly, for me, automated metadata editing AND a webUI to edit the id3 tags for my #music from anywhere! You have NO idea for how many years I've wanted this.

No updates in a while because I’ve taken a social media break. But one quick update on the homeland project- I’ve been having memory crashes and problems mounting/unmounying external HDD’s that are accessed by certain containers. It causes hang-ups and an inability to clear out caches. Ty main focus as of late has been improvements in stability and efficiencies.
Also, I need to migrate a ton of Apple Music playlists over to Navidrome and Mixx so that I can start DJing again. #homelab
It’s been a few weeks since I logged in an update on my Homelav. Last time I mentioned my server running docker had a failing hard disk… and NOW, as of a couple days ago, my proxmox server has been having kernel panic issues. Turns out one of the RAM sticks finally gave out and was causing problems. So now I’m waiting for the replacements to arrive.
What’s great is that because my hardware is so old, the cost of upgraded components is CHEAP. I’m happy I kept these devices around.
One incredibly simple but highly convenient feature of the Mac ecosystem is that if I Copy something to my clipboard on my mac, when I hit paste on my iphone those contents are going to automatically be there. Like magic 🪄
This cross-platform purgatory has its tiny inconveniences sometimes, but I’m not complaining 🙃
Oh yeah and i migrated all my notes over to Joplin. I like that it works similar to Obsidian but I don’t have to pay to use synchronization between my devices. Encryption is nice.
#1 perk is that it solves my problem for needing a clipboard that I can paste from one device (my linux pc), and then copy + paste to another device without saving a .txt and uploading to dropbox, or sending myself an email/text. Just quickly paste contents into a Joplin note.
I can’t wait for Mozilla Thunderbird to be released for iOS later this year. I deactivated all my email addresses being imported by gmail today. So I’m using Apple Mail, whose UI I do not enjoy. (Why do i have to hit reply to see a sender’s address?)
But i need an all-in-one client that has better spam filtering so I’m not seeing every single email that comes through in my top level inbox. #email #ios #software #appdevelopment
