@sunumbral @TheEddieShow a guy I used to work with got me started on this. He made lunch for eight people, all the employees, for ten dollars. Fried cabbage and seasoned round steak on cheap rolls, and it was amazing. Been trying to drive down cost while eating better ever since, and it's been an adventure

Next up, three pounds of picnic roast, slathered in brown sugar dry rub, and set to smoke for the next four hours. $8 worth of pork, maybe $2 worth of seasoning. Time and firewood. I'll give half of this away and still eat it all week.
