Sidenote: Microsoft say the average worker gets 153 teams messages a day. That's one every 3 minutes or so (although not really as they come in batches usually).

Still, without boundaries you might not even get a single minute of real focus in a day.

A study from the University of California showed it can take 23 minutes to regain your focus after an interruption.

So if you get a message every half hour, you only manage 2 hours of real focus in a 8-hour work day.

Writing tip: Try deleting your first paragraph*.

Often your first paragraph is for you, not your reader. Delete it and your reader will get into the action immediately.

It's amazing how often this works.

*If you're a good writer, it might just be a warm up sentence.

I honestly wonder if there is anyone in the whole world who likes the strawberry quality street. I have a mixed relationship with the orange one but the strawberry one is my chocolate enemy.
