50 years ago today, one of the greatest movies ever made was released. The idea of the blockbuster was born, and a generation was traumatized. 😆
All these years later, Jaws still holds up as a suspenseful thriller and as a master class in cinematic storytelling.
Several years late to the party… I have finally watched Hamilton. I was worried that it would be overshadowed by years of hype, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I appreciate that it embraced modern sensibilities to make it accessible to an audience that would have just as easily been disinterested had it adhered to aesthetic accuracy—not just a creative decision, but a smart one as well.
