Why is David Goggins verbally abusing me?

And why does it make me want to run through a wall? 😅

So I built something! It's called ZenPipe

It's inspired by a mix of rxjs and laravel's pipe utility.

It's a portable vanilla PHP pipe utility that can be used to build all sorts of things.

After 6 years of remote, my relationship with it has changed.

I'm still pro-remote, but these cons have become clear:

👉 Work/life boundaries blur
👉 "Always on" mentality creeps in
👉 Overall, I worked *more* hours

This is just my experience. Have you faced & solved these?

I finally left the iPhone ecosystem right before the yawn-inspiring iPhone 16 launch.

I cannot believe I paid so much for the same phone for so many years. It's like waking up from a trance.

I'm now rocking a Pixel for 1/5th the price and it's perfectly fine. Works beautifully.

I built a tool to help you determine your hourly freelance rate!

It works backwards from your desired monthly income to determine your hourly rate. It's specifically built for US-based contractors that have to cover their own expenses like health insurance

Let me know what you think 🤙

HourlyRate.fyi - US-based Freelance Rate Calculator

Calculate your required hourly rate as a US-based freelancer to meet your desired monthly income.

How does your team handle tickets that come back from QA/UAT after you've pulled new tickets into your WIP?

As a dev, I don't want to sit and do nothing while tickets are in QA, but it can also be chaotic to context switch a between new and old tickets.

What works for you?

Anyone else get these zombie files in their quick find menu or intellisense? Using Cursor (VSCode)

This file has since changed locations but I"m seeing the full previous file, but the file doesn't exist in the project (anymore).

A few days ago we hosted our daughters birthday party of like 20 8yo kids at our house.

In completely unrelated news, we are both incredibly sick 🤒 My wife and i just take turns crawling out of bed like the wolf of wallstreet quaalude scene 😵‍💫

If you want to bond with your partner, just get violently ill together ❤️
