My existence on social media is basically this:
- good chuckles/feelings about content that I want to see
- seeing content I don't want to see and finding a way to mute or avoid it
- having extreme issues with how virtually every platform is run in some way
- typing out posts and deleting them before posting because I'm either concerned about work info (I work for a publically traded company)
- typing out posts and deleting them before posting because I don't feel confident enough to talk about stuff (that I probably should be more confident about, really)
- finding a way to stop engaging with it at all, but getting dragged back in because there's *just enough* good stuff for me to go back.
Overall, pretty sure social media, as we created it, was a massive mistake. I think my urge to avoid it is correct. I also think the things I want and like from it are also correct.
Things are complicated, you see.
(Duh.)
