@COMPU73E yeah, faking intention, and dishonorable conduct is the most toxic behavior to me and was the most frustrating. It was easier for me to accept hostility without the backstabbing. Loved the friendship and camaraderie. Very hard to play Teams and find friendlies.
@COMPU73E has the PVP experience shifted? I’ve not played since December. Personally I had to shift away from only wanting PVE to have more fun in the game, but running into toxic situations challenges the emotions for sure. I wish the PVE was so bad that anyone instigating any conflict (PVP) would think twice—as the location could be swarmed.
@dorowski oh I love the lore and reading the stories they’ve created in other titles. The framerate issues just made my previous attempt unplayable. I think having low stash could also make it a fun challenge. Thanks for the feedback. May pickup again after I finish my FO4 playthrough

@Natanox have you or someone you knew ever used helium to affect the voice and found it funny?

I found it funny when my friend was speaking to me in a different voice.

To be clearer:

“Embark Studios CCO and co-founder Stefan Strandberg has clarified that the developer didn't use generative AI when making most of its soon-to-be hit extraction shooter Arc Raiders, and the only AI tech that was used during development was for text-to-speech voices.” - gamesradar

@dorowski I’ve been wondering about retrying F76. It was very glitchy on PS5 when I tried. Though I don’t like the service model. Do you pay the subscription? Worth it? Not interested in building, only wandering

@steffo I find myself contemplating how much to continue playing too. Likely new content drops, RP, and maybe sell all stash except next run loadout.

The expedition’s goals were a huge let down. The loop is getting boring. I hoarded a lot of gear. Also burnt a lot of cash. Certainly got my moneys worth even if I stopped today.

And, with both the Expedition and the Trials season complete, I have completed all my personal goals in ARC Raiders, so I believe I'm done playing it for at least a while!

Feeling ambivalent about the game as a whole, need to ponder some more before posting a review

#ARCRaiders

After 250+ hours only playing friendly I decided to spice up my #ArcRaiders runs.

PVP is decided with a 1d6.

1-3: No PVP (initiating)
1. Always disengage (run)
2. Either run or fight after getting shot (situational)
3. Always fight aggression with aggression (mirror)

4-6: PVP Forced
4. Warn people away, no chasing (initiate)
5. No warning (situational)
6. PVP is the mission (use all advantages)

PVP is never a backstab by faking friendly.

Would you ever roll this playstyle? Why or why not?

@Natanox the points brought up about AI are misleading.

Yes, ARC Raiders uses AI-generated voices, specifically AI text-to-speech technology, alongside recordings from real actors. This approach has sparked some controversy among players regarding the quality and authenticity of the voice acting.

Having AI for TTS is practical and brings humor if you ever try this setting. While I don’t use the setting, I see its usefulness to other players.

@COMPU73E Sounds like you have a good plan. Was there any reason in particular that you didn't make more of an effort? Boring, time, etc.? Would you have done the expedition if you had met the requirements?
