A recent drive sparked a thought. I wonder how much emissions could be prevented from efficiency gains? I was stuck in traffic for about 10 minutes creeping along due to very poorly timed traffic lights. Multiply that by the millions of poorly timed lights out there. Do it again for other easy wins like adding a bit of attic insulation.
I wouldn't be surprised if we could cut 5 percent or more GHG emissions just by doing really easy things. Save $$$ too.
Portugal decriminalised drugs in 2001 and subsequently treated drug abuse as a public health issue. Between 1999 and 2016 deaths from overdose fell by 92%.
If Westminster refuses to even consider this approach then future deaths are on their hands.
