@davidnjoku

There's a world of difference between hate and apathy.
It's not black and white.

Most people don't hate, but certainly still dislike or have strong opinions.

It's hard to be on the other side of the world and understand how or why politics matter to people in that nation.
And it's easy to dismiss real concerns as "cares to much".

Wait so that term is just a hip hop slang that was only just invented in 2017 in some rap lyrics? Might as well reference covfefe, I guess it's a thing now.
Okay then, I suppose I'm not down with the new slang.

I think we agree that the undecided voter is a myth.

But maybe we disagree that an independent voter is the same.

We can disagree, you're not being baited. Take care.

@csullivan @Flipboard

I also disagree that there's a sizable group of undecided voters anywhere. Sure, many groups claim to be undecided or non-committed. But that is just political pander begging. The people have made up their minds already. But they want to tell people that they can be convinced in order to get what they want.

Political power, influence, the ability (perceived or real) to make a difference in the election... is not uniformly distributed. The louder people get more power, living the a swing state gets more power, and the willingness to say you are "undecided or persuadable" to anyone with a camera... gives you more power.

They think politicians will listen more, pander more, and they'll get the attention they want,... if they say they're "undecided". And often, they are correct.

The concept of a 'voter's decision' is nebulous enough prior to the election that they can easily convince themselves that there is sufficient doubt to justify the undecided label. But in reality, they are suppressing what they know. They know already who they are voting for.

@bflipp

History has already proven that many independent voters (particularly suburban white women) swung toward Democrats in 2020 and 2022.

They are attainable, when they work for it (ground game).

Democrats have a base, but many people overestimate it's size. The "base", surprising to many, does NOT include Progressives.

The Democratic Party is a "Big Tent", coalition style party. It is actually harder for them to excite everyone. It is more likely that strong favoritism toward one wing will upset another. Republicans don't have that problem.

We'll see what happens, btw it's "fumbled the ball", not "bag".

What the hell happened to the Republican party? (This is a rhetorical question. I know what happened.) #politics #trump #GOP #garbagecan

According to a report commissioned by the Senate, the account was a fake, part of the Russian campaign to sway the 2016 presidential election in favor of Donald Trump.

Russians launched pro-Jill Stein social media blitz to help Trump win election, reports say

The Russian effort to interfere with the 2016 presidential election focused in part on boosting Green Party candidate Jill Stein to aid Trump, reports say.

@gwm

Sure, right. And RFK Jr was not a Trump supporter?

He also claimed that his third party bid was to get enough votes in order to legitimize and federally fund his third party.

It's all bullshit.
But you would not know that... Unless the mask falls off his face like it did this summer.

They're conning people like you. They are lying and you are believing their lies. It was only after it became apparent that RFK Jr was peeling more votes from Trump, did they drop the ruse.
But for Stein, they are still peeling off more from Harris, so they will never admit it and reveal the game. But it's the same strategy.

Even if you don't understand how it works, you should trust that the Republicans know what they're doing.

Follow the money. Who are Jill Stein's FINANCIAL supporters?

duverger's law:

in a #fptp #voting system (the #usa), a vote for a 3rd party hurts the candidate closer to your beliefs, and rewards the candidate furthest from you

a vote for #jillstein is a vote for #trump

you may not like that, but that is the truth of the #american voting system

we need #rankedchoicevoting #rcv, then we can vote our conscience and not bullshit strategy

read, educate yourself, and stop with the ignorant lies:

Duverger's law - Wikipedia

Republicans are breaking the law in order to prove that elections can't be trusted. They get caught, and wind up proving the exact opposite.

"'I was messing to see if they were gonna let me vote again to see what kind of fraud was going on.''

Here's the latest about a GOP committeeman, stealing balance during a test of election systems, trying to mess up the count so he could tell right-wing media that their systems are faulty.

https://www.cenlanow.com/news/national/former-republican-candidate-charged-with-stealing-election-ballots-in-indiana/

But this has been going on for a while. This one in 2012, Republicans mistrust leads them to break the law in an effort to "test".
