We are one of the most resource rich countries in the world. We have some of the best universities, we are innovative and hard working. How on earth have we got to this position where working people can't afford to live.
Rent, mortgage, petrol, utilities, food and on and on. In the history of this country we have only ever been governed by two political parties and ideologies.
Both have systemically failed us and we should talk more about that.
@DropBear @andrijson I understand what precipitated it. I have also been in Israel when rockets were fired by Hamas into tel aviv while the sirens were blaring.
I do not have unconditional support for Israel but in this particular case they were not the protagonists. If any other country on earth was attacked as they were on Oct 7 the world would say, go defend yourself.
That 7:30 report was a disgrace. You just made a terrorist look like a victim. She said she supported the Oct 7 attacks, doesn’t want a two state solution and was the wife of a former Hamas leader.
This is a complex issue and all sides must be heard
