Lawyer (ret.) interested in environmental law, human rights, humanitarian law, foreign policy, national security, cybersecurity, OSINT, intelligence, technology (#GIS, risk modeling, social network analysis, etc). Grateful beyond measure. Optimistic beyond all reason. Deadhead.
ICYMI: Anyone really interested has already seen this, but what a amazing smackdown of the Trump/Habba litigation v. Clinton et al. A quote to give you the flavor: “The effort by Mr. Trump and his lawyers to use the courts to bully journalists as part of a dishonest and futile attempt to rewrite history is a shameless attack on a freedom essential to democracy.” https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.flsd.610157/gov.uscourts.flsd.610157.302.0.pdf
A great article on the nature of “awe” and its transformative power to educate and inspire. And also to carry moral lessons: “ Awe-struck research subjects have shown greater generosity, more ethical decision-making, kinder behavior towards others, and decreased entitlement.”

The Potential for Awe

“Awe-inducing events may be one of the fastest and most powerful methods of personal change and growth.”

Imagine car swarm attacks and highway chaos. “The vulnerabilities could let attackers remotely track, stop or control a car — even an entire fleet of emergency vehicles. Another could give hackers access to some 15.5 million automobiles, allowing them…to control braking systems…The researchers were able to use a VIN number to …take complete control of an owners’ vehicle account, …remotely lock and unlock, stop engines, locate vehicles…” #hacking #cybersecurity https://www.cyberscoop.com/car-hackers-vulnerabilities-research/

@friend Thanks for your reply. I think I’m going to take down the toot and reconsider the question. I was really just thinking of the potential use of the digital asset as a means for covert channel communication via steganographic means, offline storage of the asset, and limited minting (e.g., one). But I’m realizing I don’t know enough about the NFT minting and storage process yet.

@dustin The ISW is doing excellent work. I don’t know if you caught the 11/29 webinar presented by the Hayden Center on the ISW’s methods but it was an hour well-spent. The video is on the Hayden Center YouTube channel at https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BjO4FZgpGTE

@dustin Which ones…. <musing>…. Hard to come up with a single one. Seriously, though, the information warfare in this conflict has been impressive to behold.
So, Russia claims that US provision of defensive Patriot surface-to-air missile systems to #Ukraine makes #NATO a party to the conflict created by the Russian invasion. I say that’s rubbish. Thoughts? #ArmedConflict #InternationalLaw #War
