A #Nature Communications #study by Dr. Goratz Beobide-Arsuaga (ESRAH, Univ. Hamburg) shows: In Germany, Poland & Denmark, alternating wet and dry soils amplify heatwaves. In Spain, Italy & Greece, soils stay dry, stabilizing the heat at high levels.
