This guy is a nightmare. Does not outright claim he's a Trump supporter and that he approves of the current administrations actions, but also does not deny it either — just hints that he "might" not.

Either own up or back down dude. Show your true colours. Don't be afraid of consequences.

(I blame @marcoarment and @caseyliss for having this argument right now 😔 I just hope there are no more TRMNL sponsorships in ATP's future.)

@trmnl 🥳

I've never really liked Figma, but boy do they really make it easy to hate them.

Sure, mess with decades of muscle memory of product people to align with newfangled developer tools, whatever. What I'm really mad about is, despite these options having entries in the menubar, changing them in Keyboard Shortcuts on macOS does _absolutely nothing_.

Figma is a 💩 Mac app. I hate it.

When I do #a11y reviews I like to guess what might be the most problematic section and jump right to it, which was the accordion in the #Figma Sites demo.

Found a treasure trove of issues: Expand/collapse actions that are <div>’s, no aria-expanded attribute, <div>'s with aria-label’s… and last characters wrapped in <span>’s, for some reason?

@aardrian has a longer list of issues on his blog, but this screenshot I took during the keynote is a good snapshot to keep IMO. https://adrianroselli.com/2025/05/do-not-publish-your-designs-on-the-web-with-figma-sites.html

Do Not Publish Your Designs on the Web with Figma Sites…

…Unless you want to fail all the WCAGs, create litigation risk, close off opportunities in Europe, engage in reputational harm, and oh yeah, throw up barriers to your customers and users. What am I talking about? Figma announced Figma Sites, letting you publish your Figma designs directly to the web.…

Long overdue.
So good, just like it would work when implemented!

Figma is really on top of their game for web production. New animation setting is amazing and has everything to mimic how the web really works:

- Blank page while moving between pages
- Font change flashes after load
- Assets coming in late and altering layout

They're moving the needle every day.

Ouch.

(Comic by @warandpeas — literally couldn't find a way to add alt-text by quote-boosting the toot or replying to it. Sorry for the re-upload!)

Designer friends, a warm reminder: Content first, always.
