Happy Valentine's Day! Sorry this card is so heavy.

NASA stated that the Ingenuity helicopter has officially taken its last flight. 72 out of 5 planned flights is pretty darn good.

If you need fast mask recs, 3M Auras rock. You can get them quickly on Amazon or at a hardware store, Walmart, etc. Most folks get a good seal, and head straps mean no sore ears! WellBefore also has rush shipping, and they have multiple sizes/styles/colors.

Seriously, the only downside of a mask is looking dorky, and we're already doing that by going to the week-long rock nerd party. Please consider masking for AGU so we can all be happy to see each other there this year AND in future years!

Even if you haven't been masking lately, please consider it for AGU! About 1 in 53 people in the US are currently infected and 1 in 10 infections lead to long symptoms. Those aren't odds to play with for yourself, your family, colleagues, or strangers!

If AGU really cared about the well-being of its members (and all the event staff it hires!), high-quality masks would be freely available all over the conference. However, past disappointments put my expectations VERY low, so stock up beforehand!

T-minus one week to AGU! Fellow geoscientists, before we spend a week in crowded rooms together, please do our whole community a favor and make sure you have enough well-fitting N95, KN95, or similar high-quality masks to last the conference.

Even before COVID, we all knew that getting sick during/after AGU was super common, and no one wants to bring home to their families a cold, flu, RSV, or the aforementioned deadly and disabling BSL-3 virus that's the third leading cause of death in the US.

Absolutely love the PBS YouTube video thumbnails. 10/10 no notes.
Oh thanks, junk email. I had forgotten that it's my turn to renew the website for the entire university.
