@flowolf Agree, but then it boils down to how critical the system is and how much the company or the customers are willing to pay or invest to have it redundant/hot-/cold-standby across regions or multiple cloud providers. The solution is choosing a suitable system architecture that considers failure risk and impact.
I am always amused when news are talking about a “global AWS outage” when 1 of 38 regions worldwide is facing issues. #aws #outage
