I am an US Army veteran with a passion for keeping my brain churning. After the Army, I lived a life dabbling in nuclear, technology, security in various forms, and some other things.

One of my favorite games, Star Citizen, has crossed over $1 billion in funding goals. Holy cow.

I am hopping on now.

Has anyone noticed that Ryan Nichols is wanting $35m out of this?

Fuck the people who actually served honorably and are struggling to stay alive and in a home. Let's give domestic terrorists the money.

In case you didn't know, going nuclear doesn't solve the AI water consumption issue.

"Constellation Energy has requested as much as 73 million gallons of water a day from the Susquehanna River once operating."

It's not a secret that Google isn't the apple of our eye (there's a reason why we don't make any money from search deals with them) but yesterday's announcement about the changes coming to Google Search are plain depressing for the web as we know it. What started as a joke (the famous "It's not AI" video with @jon), is starting to feel dystopian at this point.

Anyway. Swimming against the current is exhausting, but the fight for a better web is more important than ever. And as long as there’s people willing to take the fight, there’s hope. 🔥 So we'll keep resisting: no opt-in, no opt-out, no nonsense. ✊

Over 75% of the world’s food crops need pollinators.

Yet, bee populations have dropped globally over recent decades due to:

🔸 habitat loss
🔸 climate change
🔸 excessive use of pesticides

Our fertiliser plan promotes healthier ecosystems, which are essential for bees’ survival.

On this #WorldBeeDay, we urge governments, organisations and citizens to help save these precious creatures.

We need to keep our bees busy and well!

New, by me: CISA Admin Leaked AWS GovCloud Keys on GitHub

Until this past weekend, a contractor for the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) maintained a public GitHub repository that exposed credentials to several highly privileged AWS GovCloud accounts and a large number of internal CISA systems. Security experts said the public archive included files detailing how CISA builds, tests and deploys software internally, and that it represents one of the most egregious government data leaks in recent history.

Candidates aren't talking about data centers. They'll regret their silence.

Big Tech’s threat to the driest state in the nation isn’t just environmental — it’s existential. We can’t afford to let campaign noise drown it out.

Politicians are so totally bought up by Big Tech

OPINION: Candidates aren't talking about data centers. They'll regret their silence.

It's not surprising that a new Gallup poll finds 71 percent of Americans are opposed to having artificial intelligence (AI) data centers in their communities. That's far higher than the 53 percent who are against having a nuclear power plant in their area.
