As always, #ReanimatePublishing is grateful to the team behind the Manifold Scholar platform, including Terence Smyre, @mkgold & Zach Davis for their support and for a platform that is a delight to use!
My hope is that this volume will give readers what Ada and Fembot gave me: the opportunity to imagine new ways of being in academia; a place to see their methods, ideas, and theories valued; and a spirit of kindness and care that is not incompatible with incisive intellectual discourse. http://editions.reanimatepublishing.org/projects/the-ada-journal-reader #ReanimatePublishing #feminism #NewMedia #DigitalHumanities #AcademicMastodon

The brilliant reader editor intro by Karen Estlund, Radhika Gajjala and Carol Stabile is a beautiful history of Fembot and Ada, and a vision for feminist ethics and scholarship http://editions.reanimatepublishing.org/read/reader-editors-introduction-the-ada-journal-reader/section/ac255aaf-7d3b-41f2-9976-9636f669717b #ReanimatePublishing #feminism #NewMedia #DigitalHumanities #AcademicMastodon

Don’t miss “Never Doubt the Power of a Cute Pair of Shoes,” my series editor intro & tribute to the Fembot Collective and the Ada crew, especially Radhika Gajjala and Carol Stabile, who showed me a different way of being an academic. http://editions.reanimatepublishing.org/read/series-editor-introduction-53583dda-4e2e-4d50-9db8-89b1e7999ef1/section/c0d4bb7b-2a50-4827-814e-47e1b109fedd #ReanimatePublishing #feminism #NewMedia #DigitalHumanities

@BryceTheHuman talking about #feminist pedagogy
@ibull wish I knew the answer to this. I know from political organizing that one person can change the dynamics of a social movement. On one hand, you don't want to shut people down. On the other hand, we have so few opportunities to work with each other and learn from one another ftf that it's frustrating to have to deal with someone else's agenda.
@BryceTheHuman I'm your friend:grinning:
