in the beginning of the pandemic, back when there could only be x people in the grocery store so you waited outside in the rain with all the other grocery needers, and no one had N95 masks yet, and when they made you follow a prescribed path through the store (here in commie MA anyway), there was this camaraderie about it. If someone overshot the cereal they wanted, folks would pass it down the aisle to them. there was definitely this feeling that we were all in it together.
anyway now people just park their carts at right angles in the middle of lanes and walk away from them.
