I’ve still got some work to do. Gotta add the real paywall, and I think discovery will be an endless improvement cycle. The app lives and dies on having good content. Without the algorithm that a social network has, you have to supply feeds and unless someone comes into the app knowing exactly what they want (basically only me), it’s hard to immediately catch the hook. There will be much work in the future suggesting cool feeds to follow and the experience around it.

I’ve been building an app for the last year. It’s not the one I thought I was going to build, but I realized one day I’d gone so far, it’d be a waste not to see it through.

It’s finally in a good enough state that I think I can share the beta with other folks so I can really learn where the rough edges are.

Introducing LightWatch, a visual RSS watcher. It’s your feeds, but just the images and videos.

A perfectly paced recipe. The salmon cooks while you prep the rest, and then it's done.

Hands-Down, These Are the Best Shrimp Tacos of Your Life

This is the best shrimp taco recipe of your life. So easy, made on the grill, and topped with a creamy sauce and zesty grapefruit salsa.

Statistically, I spend more time in CI fixing failures due to upstream changes than mistakes in my code.
@pointfreeco What is the upgrade path for The Point Free Way? Does it update automatically somehow?
@rizzi Any chance you're willing to share how you did the YouTube support in the latest Reeder? I'd like to add YouTube support to my app but am struggling to figure out a reliable solution.

The rice vinegar is the hero.

Overnight Brown-Butter Yeast-Raised Waffles Recipe

Despite an overnight rise, these waffles are meant to be whipped up on a whim, on those late nights when you just know brunch is in the cards. To honor that impulse, the batter comes together in five minutes flat, and in the morning there's nothing left to do but plug in your iron. Minutes later, you'll be enjoying crisp and fluffy waffles, rich with brown butter and chewy from the slow interaction of flour and water.

A good, classic mac

@kyle Thanks for your "how to not write like ai" skill. I've been using it today to write first drafts of docs and it's doing a pretty good job. I feel more compelled to play fast and loose with "We should make a doc for this" knowing that it'll be 90% of the way there and just needs some tweaks/vetting.

Addendum: I'm a former creative director and not sounding like an idiot is important to me. It's supporting this goal pretty well.
