does anyone need a set of 4K movie film scanners

if you have a need for a cinema film scanner (or can give it a good home!), and can arrange to have it transported from the Seattle area, message me on fedi or e-mail me at [email protected]

My city is back in water restriction mode for (hopefully) the second to last time. I’m kind of getting used to the water conservation routine, but I already miss showers longer than three minutes, and it’s only day one.
You are being misled about renewable energy technology.

if you're canadian and you need N95s or similar watch https://gcsurplus.ca (federal government surplus item website)

they sell entire cases of 440 3M Aura 1870 masks for $15 plus shipping, usually $30 if you're nearby (or you can pick them up in person if you're close enough) which is still significantly cheaper than getting those masks brand new
expiry dates are usually about a year out from what i've seen but given how conservative those tend to be you're likely pretty safe for significantly longer on unused masks

Living with mandatory water restrictions is still less disruptive than I expected, but the whole three minute shower thing remains the worst

Guess who doesn’t know how to solder and just ordered TMR dualsense stick replacements that require soldering?
@briankrebs Someone sketchy just called me from “Google” and tried to initiate a security check to submit an Emergency Disclosure Request from my account. I can’t find any info online about similar scams, so what’s even going on here?

A&W has strawberry shakes that are objectively bad at being strawberry shakes, and yet…

I am sipping on one while writing this post and having a pretty great evening overall.
