We’re sorry if you experienced a bit of downtime or maintenance pages in the past few hours.

We were performing a migration, and the service should be stable now. Please note that DNS changes may take up to 48 hours to fully propagate.

✨ You may notice a small change in the interface — the PCBWay ad has been removed for now as we focus on improving CAD-Viewer and exploring future collaborations.

🐞 We’ve just fixed an issue that was preventing registered users from uploading CAD files. Everything should be working smoothly now!

💡 Also remember that registered users can publish their CADs in the public library — just upload them with Public visibility.

OBJ file visualization is back ! ✨

Some months ago we improved our platform with a custom CAD compression algorithm and we had to disable OBJ.

The format is now enabled back, and in the next steps we will improve the tree navigation, to support, assemblies, groups, and surface detection.

We have just deployed an improvement that allow us to compress STL files up to 85%. ✨

This translates as faster file downloads when using our website, we hope you enjoy it !

@hallunke23 I do not think we will move, after doing some research, it is already in their backlog to add IPV6 protection.
🔄 After today’s IPv6 change, we heard from many users who rely on it. We hear you, and we’ll make an extra effort to keep the service running. IPv6 is now enabled again.
@chrysn we are not able to reproduce it, using the same curl version 🤔

@chrysn after checking, it seems that traceroute uses UDP by default, so its blocked by our firewall (except UDP 443 for http3). Performing the check on TCP 80/443 works as expected:

traceroute -T -p 443 www.cad-viewer.com
