Also 2 pedestrian bridges including one to local high school. The ROW is 100 feet wide so there are about 14 acres from end to end.
Imagine if this was a greenway with a daylit creek, beer garden, tennis courts, wider bike trail with exits left and right. No sound walls
Installing this road involved covering up a creek (runs underneath the road, hence the vents) as well as sound walls left and right, because cars going 40mph are really loud.
Right now they are doing expensive emergency maintenance because of chemicals in the creek
This has gotta be the most useless road in the East Bay. South Broadway was built in the 80's on abandoned Southern Pacific right of way. 1.2 miles, zero turnoffs left or right, 40mph, runs adjacent to the Danville Blvd & South Main road which is 200 yards over
