I've been making an effort to use #freecad more. This week has been using the #gridfinity workbench to make some socket organizers. #printables is full of them, but it's quick and easy enough to draw up exactly what I need quickly and drop it into #prusaslicer and send it to my #Prusa XL.

FreeCAD has come a long way in a short time and the roadmap for 1.1 looks like it hasn't lost any momentum.

@FreeCAD

For some reason my brain interpreted this as social instruction.
For some reason I've been tending to #3dprinting design with perimeters but no infill. This is a battery bracket for a #Toyota #AW11 #MR2 designed in #Autodesk #Fusion360 printing on a #PrusaXL in PLA.
I manufactured brackets to install a DRO on the Y-axis of my Riken RTM-3. I reused previously tapped holes from a prior DRO install. I'm not sure what is wrong with me, but it can't just be a bracket. It has to be more interesting. I think this came out well. Especially considering I only had a DRO on the X-axis for these operations.
Now to do the Z-axis!
I'm really enjoying this machine. It's amazing.

Last week I built an #antumbra ROT8 #eurorack #modularsynth sequencer. It runs on an #atmega128 microcontroller, with #opensource firmware. I purchased the PCB and Panel from Modular Addict. I've uploaded a BoM here: https://octopart.com/bom-tool/sZpItzHV

I'm really excited to start chewing on this firmware and finish the second one I am building, because any module worth owning is worth owning two of.

Does anyone else enjoy #eggcarton #duodecagrams or #hexadecagrams? Get it? Like #iching #hexagrams?
The Lower Harbor Ore Dock in #Marquette, #Michigan was used for loading iron mined in Michigan's #UpperPeninsula into freighters on #LakeSuperior to be delivered to production operations in the lower Great Lakes, such as #Detroit and #cleveland. It operated from 1937 to 1971. https://www.travelmarquette.com/things-to-do/arts-culture/ore-docks/

The Ore Docks In Marquette, Michigan | The Presque Isle Dock

Plan your trip to the Presque Isle Dock in Marquette's Upper Harbor and learn about the operations of a functioning ore dock owned by Cliffs Natural Resources.

Our topic for this Sunday's sermon is milling 7075 Aluminum. Please open your Machinery's Handbook to "Machining Operations". I will be reading from the 29th edition. #cnc #machining #fusion360
I debrazed the previous attempt and tried for this one. It's a bit different construction, I think in a good way, but not as good of a grind. Still exciting! #machining
Today I brazed up carbide on a D-bit and then ground it into a reduced-shank D-bit blank. I'll be doing the next one differently, but I'll call this first attempt a success! #machining
