Joe Grand is joining #BSidesBrisbane as keynote speaker this year.
He's also running a two-day hardware hacking training just before the conference.
No prior experience required. The course covers teardown, reverse engineering, soldering, signal analysis, and memory extraction, finishing with a hands-on challenge against a real hardware target.
This training has been running since 2005 and is the longest-running course of its kind.

There's been some great energy around local security conferences to start 2026 - and we're continuing that trend as we push into EOFY, with BSides Brisbane running July 04!
As we're now just 50 days away, we're pushing hard to get things finalised, however just a reminder that our Call for Content closes at the end of next week. We'd love to see more submissions come through, and if the numbers are there, we're hoping to run two tracks again this year.
