As a final summary, from the previous ones I saw, this was the most entertaining to watch I think (not just because of the result 😄 )

Many legends of the game took part and played super well, which is what we want to see

And I think the shot clock actually helped, I remember a few years ago a match had to be resumed later even though it's such a short race, it was a bit sad to see. This prevents these things and don't hinder the game much, but perhaps adding an extension per frame would be nice

Seeing how high the level was in this #snooker world seniors, I feel the age requirement could very well be 50+ now tbh, it's a bit weird to see e.g. Jimmy always playing people almost 20 yrs younger than him

But I imagine that it would be impossible considering the overall seniors tour, I guess it's just the world championship that can get all those strong seniors together (and the 40+ people need playing opportunities ofc)

Any opinions on this? I always wonder about it

He really did it, Igor Figueiredo is the #snooker world seniors champion! 😮 🎉 🎉 🥳 What an achievement for Brazil's snooker!

At the same time, feel sorry for Ken, I really hope he'll win it eventually and complete his collection of world titles.

Great pleasure to watch Drago play, I'm a relatively new snooker fan, didn't get to watch his prime years, but he's still super entertaining.

Igor has been playing very well lately (imho he's good enough to be on the pro tour), so no surprise to see him getting a couple centuries. But still, kinda surreal to see a Brazilian going so far, really proud of him! 😀

I'm hoping Ken will be the other finalist, let's see.

I'm quite optimistic for Igor in this seniors' world #snooker championship, even against Jimmy, I'd be happy to see either of them win though, it's a great match.

I'm so happy for Kyren! I always liked to watch him play (btw, I only have 2 videos on yt and one is a try at drawing him 😅) And amazing job by Jones in closing the gap so much

I confess that (by coincidence) I was rooting for Jones' opponents in every round, and it's funny how a nice lad who is only doing his job well could make me so upset 😂 Great job by him in fighting so hard 😀

As others pointed out, if it wasn't for the 1st session, it probably would've went in a total different direction

Call It Love
(2023 - Hulu/Disney+ 16 1:10 eps )

A woman falls in love with the son of her father's mistress. Having unavailable, undependable parents has affected all adult children. All the parents in this story are terrible in some way.

The cinematography is intimate, the sun never shines & the colors are washed out. The lighting, dialogue, music, echoing footsteps & poignant silence evoke melancholy. The pace is slow & lets us wallow in the anger, grief, & sadness the characters experience. Intriguing characters grow slowly. Great acting, especially by the leads, as they try to figure out love amidst familial betrayal & duty.

For me, the frustration with them allowing their lives to be ruined by their pasts dissipated as I saw them learning & growing. I ended up really enjoying this love story.

Call It Love

Life's difficulties can take a toll on anyone, and this romantic melodrama portrays the story of a man and woman who are deeply affected. Through their...

I do love #snooker but have to admit, watching them spend ten minutes trying to get the balls back into their original spots without using any of the futuristic tech we have at our disposal these days is a little dull.

Question: A friend and I were talking about the #snooker rankings and we were wondering where the idea of a money based system came from.

We saw that apparently the PGA European Tour (golf) had a money based system ("order of merit") from 1975 to 2008 which seems to have inspired a similar thing in Darts, was this also the inspiration to the system in snooker? At least in the quick search we did, we couldn't find this mentioned explicitly anywhere.
