Oh hey, they said we can stay in the IC instead of changing to regional trains for free :D
On my way to LBM/MCC as Meryl Stryfe! (The train is already 30min delayed.)

Okay it’s a bit of an unusual post from me, but I’m looking for a dev job in Poland.

  • I’ve been building on the web since I’m old enough to have my domain
  • I’m proficient in Typescript and React, but I have shipped code in many different languages
  • I built and work everyday on enterprise scale codebase, and my code has literally made >100M€ in sale
  • Looking for either UoP or B2B
  • Either remote or stationary in Krakow

Does anyone in my contacts know about an open position?  I can send my CV on request

I’m throwing a bottle into the sea just in case, but I’d appreciate any boosts ♻️

Does anyone know a nice calender app for android that synchronizes both ical and caldav? The one I'm currently using only works with caldav sync

Yaaay, it was finally boardgame night again yesterday!
We wanted to continue playing Mansions of Madness, but instead played Battle of Boybands (2h instead of 30 minutes they state on the packet) and Betrayal at the House on the Hill, which kind of goes in the same direction, but is still different and ended very anticlimaticly because the traitor attacked the one player with the highest chance to onehit their monster 😂
But both were a lot of fun!

I was hinted at an Austrian website for con dates in German speaking countries. It's pretty comprehensive and lists a couple events I never saw on any other list. You might want to have a look, too: https://www.jam-cons.net/

And in case you don't know it yet, my favorite place to check is usually Cosbase: https://www.cosbase.de/index.php?r=events/default/index

There's an (unofficial) aftermovie for Crafting Com, the convention with focus on actually working on cosplays and props. While it does not proportionally represent how I spent my time there, it does give a good overview. It also showed me something I didn't immediately realize: I cared about the people there. I recognized a couple people I talked to or worked with. It was lovely to meet so many people all sharing the same spirit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKqZvIuIMjA

I've decided to tackle my mending pile of doom. (Because woodworking on sunday mornings when everyone else is still asleep isn't a good idea)
Look, I've fixed the hole in my silk jacket! It's not a perfect color match, but good enough :)
Okay, please send help. Where are the good Unreal tutorials? Preferably not in video-only form. Unreal 5.2 or higher. I am not interested in Blueprints. I will be offended if the lecturer performs bad coding practice. If relevant, I already have a bit of experience with Unity.
I could use some more basics (not "how to use the viewport" basic though, did that the last couple days). I will then specialize in non-game UI and VR.
